We urge you to rapidly implement the end of daylight saving time, as asked by a vast majority of EU citizens.

Why is this important?

The recent public consultation launched by the European commission clearly shows that EU citizens want a simplification of their time system. This is a unique opportunity for EU to prove that it listens to citizen needs and that it can handle simple problems efficiently and rapidly.
The solution to the present problem is simple and does not require years of thinking or additional millions euros spent in expert studies. There are presently three time zones in Europe. For each zone, a public consultation has to be organized to determine whether citizens in this zone prefer to keep the summer time or the winter time. After that, the change has to be implemented as quickly as possible.
