The European Union must ensure Europe's energy independence and protect our climate. This means:

Not considering gas and nuclear as green
Reforming its fiscal rules to help governments invest in renewable energy, without breaking deficit or debt rules.

Why is this important?

The EU is having big conversations about our future right now, and we need to be part of it.

In a few weeks, Europe could decide to invest in fossil fuels and nuclear for decades to come. Or they could make new bold rules to help the mass development of clean energy. In a few years, we could become much less dependent on these fossil fuels.

It makes sense for peace and it makes sense for the planet to stop pumping billions into fossil fuels. But the fossil fuel industry is working like crazy to keep things just as they are.

They're trying to get our members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to rig the rules whatever the cost for the planet and all of us.

But this community has the power to scrap their plans. We only need to convince a majority of MEPs to reject the toxic demand of fossil fuel companies - and secure new bold rules to invest billions in clean energy!
