Investments must be made in technology that meets the requirements of the time. Data centers that can be operated self-sufficiently because the power consumption of the servers is very low, which consume few other resources (space, production). Nevertheless, even a single server is faster in its performance than the entire No. 1 of the world's top 500 data centers. Furthermore, a contemporary European AI cloud needs to be built that can automatically comply with European data protection regulations. Various platforms, such as Facebook and Pinterest, must be replaced by platforms that respect customers' data and do not sell it for profit.

Billions in investment and taxpayers' money are wasted on outdated IT technologies. For computing and data storage technology that dates back to the 1960s. For technology that is absolutely no longer up to date. A technology that is clearly too slow for modern requirements (keywords: artificial intelligence, autonomous driving). And at the same time, this outdated technology requires an incredible amount of electrical power and has a very high space requirement. In addition, the data of individuals and companies is also sold by the data storage providers such as Amazon, Facebook, Google,... and billions in profits are made with it. In terms of ecological thinking and also in terms of data protection, this situation must change!

The fact is that people worldwide need enormous amounts of computing and storage power every day. From individuals to large companies. And the demand is constantly increasing. In addition, European companies need - based on existing data protection guidelines - the guarantee of their provider that their data is also secured in Europe. And not on servers in the USA. Or in China. And if this data is sold to third parties, then the owner of the data must also have an advantage in this sale. Or he can prohibit the sale. This must be possible!

In order to make this computing power and the storage of data possible for Europe, the European market needs powerful computing and data centers. On European soil. With high computing power. With low power and space requirements. Compliant with European data protection guidelines and the Green Deal.

Why is this important?

It is irresponsible in this day and age to waste resources such as electricity (conventional data centers require as much electricity as entire countries on a daily basis) and space!

It is irresponsible to invest investment and taxpayers' money in a technology that dates back to the 1960s and has long since failed to meet today's demands and those of the near future!

It is irresponsible that European data is not stored in Europe but in the USA or China!

Next step - spread the word
